Request For Advice From You

Many Of You Send Me Very Appreciated Comments About The Newsletters, Facebook, And The Blog

Now I would like some advice from you. Think quid pro quo.

In 2019 DGI wants to renew a program that we had years ago. We will do short 2-3 hour non-credit-courses at low or no cost. We would cover two areas of interest. Real Estate and Mortgage Lending in separate offerings. The thrust would be to increase income for agents and loan brokers. Probably using 2 or 3 speakers per session.

My Question:

Which topic areas would interest you enough to shut off your smart phones and attend a live presentation plus meet other people in your field of endeavor?

My Interest:

Still get an urge to lecture periodically.  Also, all money realized from any of these projects would be donated to charity, my way of giving back something. Plus, I have to investigate topics to be prepared which keeps me informed. And hopefully actually help someone break out of a slump.

SO; HIT REPLY NOW AND WRITE A FEW WORDS, FOR WHICH I WILL BE THANKFUL AND GRATEFUL. See you on the flip-flop.

Maybe you can offer some live courses Via webinar or recording? I live in a rural location and not many or no classes are offered in our area. Would Def take time off cell phones and pay for the education. Thanks for everything.

As a Real Estate Broker and former owner of a Mortgage company, I always found Real Estate Agents to be disinterested in my quest to educate them on loans, they basically preferred to turn loan issues over to their loan agent to handle.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write. It is very much appreciated. BTW, in my business it is getting more difficult all the time to get people off their computers and to a meeting.
Will consider your ideas. However, some of your topics are out of my area of expertise. I have to be able to have material, filler and stories to make a class interesting. I will keep you posted and let you know what I decide to do.

As a newly minted MLO (Thank you Jim Eszlinger via Duane Gomer) who is an independent Real Estate Broker, I will happily pay for a course on “So you have your NMLS license, now what?” Most specifically, I am interested in how I can set myself up an independent MLO brokering loans for my buying clients. How do I look up credit scores, the forms I need, where do I go to find out about each lenders’ requirements/overlays and so forth.

I enjoy your style of instruction Duane. Keep bringing your awesomeness to the seminars and of course all of the best information and I will be there. No bad course, and no wasted time with your seminars, it is worth the time, effort, and money.

    Hi Duane,

I think agents (other than super stars/market leaders) need training on how to better communicate their value proposition

    Happy holidays!

I agree with a webinar. In these times with with technology it’s a waste in my opinion to drive and sit. Webinars are the way to go. Your courses are absolutely the best. I recommend them always. Information is power. Please keep doing what you do. Thank you.

Thank you for taking the time to write. We do live because that is our model. We also do online, but the prices are so low that I can’t live where I want to live charging those amounts. Appreciate your comments.

I enjoy your NMLS classes. I attend them live in sacto CA. I wish you taught. You’re always very entertaining and a wealth of knowledge.

Would want to go to or ha e a webex “Review of Changes in 2019 affecting MLOs” such as new tax laws, loan amounts, new 1003…what the changes are and how to make these changes work for the MLO favorably.
