Every Year, I Post A Link Concerning The Vast Amounts Of Unclaimed Money With The State Of California
Every year, I get an email from someone who took less than a minute to enter their name or name of relatives, friends, etc. They will tell me that they found some money for someone dear to them.
Thank you Duane. Last Fall I had received 2 or 3 letters from legal/law offices I have never heard of, tossed them aside. Usually I shred stuff like that but for some reason I didn’t.
Then I came across your link and out of curiosity checked the web site. Sure enough, $800.00!! That’s why those firms were reaching out to me; for a fee they were going to do me the favor of retrieving those funds for me. Thanks, but no thanks, I’ll do it my self. I did and deposited an $800.00 check into my account. These were proceeds from a loan that closed when I sold my house in 2014! probably the balance of an impound account.
Sorry to be so long, and do abbreviate as you see fit. Just want everyone to be aware if they sold a home during the middle of the Great Recession. Lenders/Servicers were unscrupulous in their actions. It took over a month to get them to respond to a payoff demand.
