MORTGAGE LOAN ORIGINATION (MLO) 20-HOUR PRE-LICENSURE COURSE WAIVER

As we have told you many times, California DRE licensees do not have to complete the 20-hour pre-licensure course because the DRE commissioner got it waived for you. However, you have to complete this waiver procedure by August 31, 2010.

Today, we received a copy of a proposed regulation from Jeff Davi, DRE Commisioner. The main purpose is to raise fees for all licensees and subdivisions.
Briefly, fees for a four-year Broker’s license will go from $165 to $300 and for a sales license from $120 to $245. Most of the exam fees will be doubled. […]
